Simon's original Arnie didn't have the original strap which he later updated me after I wrapped up the filming, so my apologies for that cock up! The Seiko H558 used by Arnie in Commando and Predator was not always what we thought. Hollywood changed the face of the Arnie in close ups used in Commando. The original watch although equipped with a timer was too small to be accurately seen in the movie....so they changed it. They made a modified version to show a large digital countdown screen that is not actually like the original. The prop watch is very similar to the Seiko Digi-Tuna which was not available in the 1980’s. We will take a look and find that the new Digi-Tuna would have satisfied what the filmmakers were looking for. This is an unboxing of the new SBEP001. With Watchnian shroud and Strapcode Hexad bracelet. Looks great, but has a lot of compromises. Hands are short, indices are small - not very easy to read the analog display. Neither the best analog watch, nor the best digital watch. A cool looking compromise of the two.
