The shooting didn't last long but you guys get to see how quick these things can move in the mud. I also put a short clip in here that Rich captured with the PVS14 with no moon and you will see immediately the advantage of running thermal. A lot of folks think NV and pointers are good options for "hunting" but when the conditions are against you even with a flood it will be difficult to hit them on the run. I had some free time, so I decided to do a little coyote hunting. The wind was about 10mph out of the South. I made about 5 stands and saw roughly 7 coyotes. I missed one and got one. The wind was not helping me at all. I didn't post all the hunting videos from that night, but I definetly could tell the wind was giving me away. The first coyote filmed was searching for a meal and I didn't even have to put out my caller. He kept coming to me and as you can see in the video, he smelled me a couple of times. Luckily he kept coming and I got him to stop, but I was low in my shots. He lived and got a little education that night. The next coyote was coming in and I didn't see it until it was about 50 yards away. I had to get up slowly to get into a decent shooting position. I was able to bag him. He was a fairly good sized coyote. PS - I tried a new free video editing software to do split screens, but it sucks. If you see any tearing or blocking in the video, its due to the crappy free editing software, the original files are clear.

Proper prep of both the device and the NVG Wraps™ will ensure a well applied end result. • Wash your hands with soap and water beforehand to ensure minimal oils are left on your skin. • Optional: we sometimes cut out the sections of NVG Wraps™ as it makes it easier to handle the material. You don't have to cut all the way to the edge of the material, a rough cut with a healthy border is fine. • Wipe down the exterior areas of the NVG Device with an isopropyl alcohol wipe to remove any oils, dirt, dust etc. Make sure it's dry before applying the NVG Wraps™. • Test fit the pieces on the housing before applying them to ensure you have the right piece for that area, you know where they go, how they're aligned and any geometry/structures of the device you have to work around. • Take your time. The material isn't designed to be reused, so you want to make sure you're placing it right the first time and not re-positioning multiple times. • Don't stretch the material.

Due to the unknown force of a possible impact, we recommend replacing the Aspis after it is hit as its structure might be affected (similar to how a bump helmet should be replaced after a fall/hit) In our torture test, the Aspis shield (metal mesh) was strong enough that it resisted multiple impacts of a 0.28 grams BBs traveling at 90 m/s (~1 joule), protecting the material behind but compromising its structure.
